Englefeld is a small town (village) known for it's yearly "Hog Fest" activities. It started as a fundraiser and became a yearly event in which at least 800 people come to. Events include fireworks, hogs cooked on spits, ball tournaments and other activities. I have not attended this event but I have heard it is quite enjoyable and the food is incredible.
As we entered the town, we saw two pig statues and we pulled over to view them. The rotund pig has many different things on him so I have a few pictures from different angles. If you are thinking of visiting there, be sure to check out their website for details on "Hog Fest" and other things to see. It also has some pig facts, poems and stories. ~ Rabbit
